Lucknow— Promising tennis player Raminder Deep Kaur showcased exceptional skill and composure to capture the Girls’ Under-14 title at the Rajat Bajaj Memorial Talent Hunt Tennis Tournament, held at the La Martiniere Lawn Tennis Facility in Lucknow.
The third day of the tournament witnessed several thrilling matches across age categories, drawing attention for the young players’ spirited performances.
In the Girls’ Under-14 final, Raminder Deep Kaur defeated Virika Agarwal 5–3 in a closely contested match to lift the trophy. Earlier, in the semifinals, Raminder outplayed Vanya 4–0, while Virika registered an identical 4–0 win over Anya Chaudhary. In the quarterfinals, Raminder, Vanya, Anya, and Virika advanced with convincing victories.
In the Boys’ Under-14 category, Kabir Sharma entered the final after a nail-biting semifinal, edging past Aadmy 4–3 (7–3). Earlier, in the quarterfinals, Mohd. Sufiyan defeated Vivaan Singh 6–4, Aadmy beat Vivaan Goyal 6–2, Kabir overcame Ashwin 7–6 (7–5), and Arnav Chauhan advanced via walkover.
The Boys’ Under-16 semifinals saw Devansh overcome Anay 4–2 to book his place in the final. In the quarterfinal round, Anay beat Rohan 4–1, Devansh defeated Arnav 4–1, Yaduraj got the better of Arnav Srivastava 4–2, while Shaurya Singh triumphed over Mannan 5–3.
In the Boys’ Under-18 category, Devansh continued his dominant form, securing a commanding 4–0 win over Rishiv in the semifinals to advance to the final. Earlier, in the quarterfinals, Devansh, Rishiv, and Rohan recorded convincing victories.
The tournament not only provided a competitive platform for emerging talents but also highlighted the growing enthusiasm for tennis among young players in Lucknow.
